Strengthen your self-esteem
Let's start with a confronting question: When was the last time you looked in the mirror and truly saw the person standing there? Not the list of shortcomings you are used to ticking off, not the mask you wear for the outside world, but you—in all your complex, wondrous humanity.
We begin with a simple yet profound exercise. I ask you to write a letter to your younger self. What would you like to say to that child who tried so hard to be seen, to be 'good enough'?
The pen hesitates above the paper. In the silence of that moment, something special often happens—an opening arises to a deeper understanding of how we have come to see ourselves through the eyes of others.
"I always wrote from my adult self," Marieke said after the workshop. "Strict, analytical, judgmental. But when I wrote that letter, it was as if that little girl inside me was finally allowed to tell her story. About how she learned that love was conditional. How she thought she had to earn her right to exist by being perfect."
This workshop is an invitation to explore the stories you tell about yourself. Not to judge them, but to understand them. To see how they have protected you, and how they might be limiting you now. We work with various approaches—writing, movement, dialogue— HeartSong Therapy , a new form of healing your shadow child, but always with the goal of developing a new, gentler way of looking at yourself.
For self-worth is not something you can 'make' or 'earn'. It is a homecoming to who you already are in essence. Learning to love yourself is possible through your heart song when your compassion for your shadow child becomes palpable.
This is not a workshop on positive thinking or affirmations. This is a journey to the roots of your self-image, where we explore together how old beliefs still influence your choices. Where we discover that true self-worth is not about becoming 'better,' but about becoming whole.
As Peter, a participant, put it: "I came here to become stronger. I leave with the realization that I was already strong – I just had to recognize it. And now I am learning to express that strength as well, to guard my boundaries and stay true to myself."
Are you ready to see yourself with new eyes and translate that new vision into how you stand in the world?
