Augmented Therapy:

A deepening and broadening of the therapeutic landscape

Augmented therapies represent an innovative development within traditional forms of therapy. They combine the power of traditional forms of therapy, such as psychotherapy and talk therapy, with additional techniques, resources or technologies. The aim is not to replace basic therapy, but rather to strengthen, deepen, accelerate and make it more effective.

This synergy creates a more powerful approach that better meets the individual needs of the client and can lead to more sustainable and profound results.

Below we explore some key forms of augmented therapies, with a deeper understanding of how they work and their applications:

New Paths in Therapy:

A Journey Toward Healing and Growth

When we seek recovery and inner growth, traditional talk therapy isn’t always enough. Fortunately, more and more options are emerging to help us process trauma and better understand ourselves. Let me take you through some unique approaches that offer hope:

1. The Digital Helping Hand

Our modern world also offers surprising possibilities. With virtual reality, for example, we can gently practice navigating situations we find stressful—as if we have a soft blanket of safety wrapped around us while exploring our fears. And with neurofeedback, we learn to better understand our own brains, like a friendly guide helping us find calm. The Neurovizre is also a great aid in processing and healing trauma, stress, meditation, and mindfulness

2. HeartSong Therapy

By creating your heart song, healing becomes possible for your inner child. The barrier between head and heart is lifted, and fear and distance make way for love and closeness.

3. Listening to Our Body

Our body holds wisdom that we often forget. Through methods like EMDR, we can process trauma without having to talk about it constantly. And with sound therapy or breathwork, we can release tension in a way that transcends words. It is like coming home to ourselves.

4. Natural wisdom

Sometimes we find comfort and insight in ancient wisdom. Through mindfulness and meditation, we learn to look at ourselves more kindly. And in certain cases, traditional healing rituals can help us connect with a deeper layer within ourselves.

5. Stronger Together

There is extraordinary power in sharing our journey with others in a group. In group work (2026-2027 Cohort), we can find recognition, learn from one another, and experience that we are not alone. It is like a circle of understanding and support in which we can carry one another.

These new approaches in therapy are not miracle cures, but they do offer new possibilities for healing and growth. It’s important to know that there is always hope and that there are different paths that can help. You’re not alone—there are caring guides who can accompany you on this journey inward.

Remember: your path to healing is unique, and it’s okay to explore which approach suits you best. The most important thing is that you know there are possibilities and that you deserve to find the support that’s right for you.
