The Intensive

Over the past 30 years, more than 300 people from the Netherlands, France, England, Norway, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Japan and Thailand have participated in a four- or five-day Intensive. Approximately one fifth of the participants were couples. The age ranged from 18 to 84. Each intensive is tailor-made and focuses entirely on the unique situation and needs of the participant(s).

People who participate in an intensive often find themselves at an important crossroads in their lives, or are looking for support in processing trauma. The opportunity to work more deeply on unprocessed emotions and blockages makes these intensives particularly valuable.

  • Life crisis: For example, due to a divorce, the loss of a loved one, a serious illness, job loss or a feeling of stagnation in life without a clear cause.

  • Life Stage Transition: Midlife crisis, retirement, children leaving home, beginning parenthood, starting a new career, or changes in physical health and energy.

  • Taking stock: Reflection on life in order to be able to say a loving goodbye, restore important relationships, or evaluate which aspects of your life need further attention. This can take place, for example, after a career change, a move, or the end of an intensive phase in life such as raising children.

  • Making choices: Finding answers to questions such as: living together, getting married, having children or making a career change. These choices can be accompanied by emotional tension or uncertainty. An example of this is a young couple who are considering moving in together, but first want to work on their communication and expectations. Another example is someone who wants to take the step to a completely new career path after years in the same job and is looking for support in discovering their own values and goals.

  • Relationship problems: Rediscovering intimacy, connection and love in a long-term relationship. Go to the partner intensive for more information on how to work on your relationship together.

  • Personal growth: Working on themes such as life goals, discovering qualities or breaking through persistent blockages. For example, a participant can discover during the intensive how old fears prevent him from seizing new opportunities. Another example is someone who wants to find a deeper connection with his or her creative talents in order to fully utilize them. Participants can also learn to let go of limiting beliefs that hinder them in their professional or personal life, which gives them a greater sense of freedom and fulfillment.

Different working methods

During the intensive, various methods are applied, tailored to the unique needs of the participant(s):

  • Healing Writing: Writing down your experiences helps you process them consciously and provides space for inner dialogues. This process not only promotes self-reflection, but also helps to clarify emotions and thoughts, which can have a profound impact on your personal growth.

  • Body and breathwork: Techniques such as grounding, bioenergetics and holotropic breathwork are used to achieve deep relaxation, release emotional tension and connect the body to unconscious processes. These methods help participants to better connect with their inner power.

  • Shadow and Sun Child Work: Transforming negative beliefs into inner strength. This method helps participants to gain insight into the origins of limiting beliefs, to process them and to restore confidence in their positive qualities.

  • Character Structures: Recognizing patterns from your childhood to deepen relationships and gain insight into how these influence your current behavior and emotions. This can help to break through limiting patterns and create deeper connections with yourself and others.

  • Family constellations: Systemic work to break through bottlenecks in family ties. This method helps to make hidden dynamics and patterns within a family visible, giving participants insight into the causes of conflicts and tensions. The book De Fontein by Els van Steijn offers a profound insight into this method and shows how finding your place in the 'fountain' of your family contributes to personal growth and healing. This process opens the way to healing and reconciliation.

  • Inner Voice Dialogue : Working with inner voices and subpersonalities. This method helps participants to explore the different aspects of their psyche and to become aware of the influence of these on their behavior and emotions. By talking to these inner voices, space is created for self-reflection and personal growth.

  • Regression therapy: Reliving and letting go of childhood pain. By consciously reliving these experiences, stored emotions can be processed and patterns that originated in childhood can be broken. This promotes emotional liberation and personal growth.

  • Neurovizr: Using visual stimulation and light therapy to promote deep relaxation, creativity and focus. Through personalized light patterns, specific brain waves are stimulated, which provides heightened awareness and access to subconscious processes. This allows participants to break through blockages and gain new insights.

  • Heart-Song Therapy: A unique method developed by Martien Janssen that stimulates heart coherence and deep emotional connection through voice, breathing and resonance. Benefits include improved emotional balance, deeper connection with yourself and others, and the release of built-up tensions.

  • Meditation and Channeling: Finding inner peace and inspiration. These techniques provide a powerful connection to the subconscious and higher self, helping to achieve emotional clarity and find creative solutions to challenges.

  • Dreamwork and visualizations: Exploring and healing your subconscious. These techniques offer a safe way to bring hidden emotions, desires and fears to the surface and work with them. By using symbols and images, you can gain deep insights and regain inner balance.
